Chesapeake Bay Fishing Trip

Went fishing at the Chesapeake Bay (Picasa Pictures), but it turned out to be very different than what I expected. I thought we would do some fishing ourselves, but it turns out that this professional does all the fishing (except for the reeling), pulls the fish out of the water and then hands you over the fish for the picture.

Nevertheless, it is really cool to watch this professional fish since he can have 18 fishing lines going at the same time without any of them getting tangled up, which honestly is astonishing. He would have two small floating boats (with a flag) on both sides of the boat that are attached to the boat by a line and via this line he would hold several fishing lines. A total of 7 on each floating boat and once a fish took the bait it would release itself from the line attached to the small boat and swing to the front where then the tourist would reel in the fish.

Testing out my new dry suit

So tried out my dry suit for the first time at Rawlings, VA where the water temperature was 45 F (7 C) and it was awesome. I was still cold, but not as much as with my old 7mm wetsuit. I like how the Whites dry suit sport skin looks very streamlined. I can't wait until my order of the tech skin arrives so I can have some pockets since I have been diving without pockets lately. A week after Rawlings went to Millbrook Quarry to dive and the water temperature was 37 F (3 C) and I realized I needed new gloves since it felt I had my hands in ice water for 30 minutes.

Small party produces so much trash.

So, we are in the process of moving out from Piedmont st (sniff, sniff, the memories) and decided to have a small party. Here is a picture of the kitchen. We should really consider recycling when we get to the new apartment.
